Michel Boyd of SmithBoyd Interiors has been a longstanding friend of BRADLEY. We’ve watched Michel rise to become one of the leading designers in Atlanta. Boyd grew up in a small town outside of New Orleans where he cultivated a serious passion for fashion. It was on a trip to New York that Michel realized that he needed to be involved not only with fashion but also in the exciting world of interiors.
Clients praise Boyd for his calm, and his ability to tackle any challenge with poise and grace. Michel has a unique point of view that is exhibited in each of his projects. With his flair for color and his knack for layering intriguing objects to create captivating spaces, it’s no wonder Michel is a highly sought after designer.
We have been privileged to work with Michel on many projects. When asked about working with BRADLEY, Boyd said “I build rooms like wardrobes, really specific to the bodies that dwell there. Customizing with BRADLEY allows me to stay current with trends happening in fashion!”
Today we would like to highlight one SmithBoyd project in particular – The Residence at the W Atlanta Downtown from the Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles High Style High Rise Tour.
Michel designed an entire residence at the W Atlanta Downtown using solely BRADLEY (then BRADLEY HUGHES) products. We were so thrilled to have such a talented designer representing us and were very impressed with the final design.
Take tour of the residence below-
The master bedroom is a great example of Michel’s ability to mix and layer many different things to make a harmonious space.
In the Second Bedroom Michel juxtaposed hard and soft to make a well balanced space that doesn’t feel too masculine or too feminine.
The dining room uses many signature BRADLEY pieces to create a space that just calls for interesting dinner conversation.
After dinner the occupant of this residence could move to the living room to relax. Michel used leathers and plush throws in this room to create a luxurious but comfortable space where the resident can relax.
Somehow, Michel made the patio so light and airy while using very strong, stable materials like concrete and iron. It looks like a lovely place to sit and enjoy the view of the city.
