Decades full of artful assignments have made Eric Hausman’s body of work and fine reputation, esteemed among the interior design community. His frequent byline makes him a favorite hire among ad agencies and editors alike. In recent years he has collaborated with architects, decorators and leading magazines to document some of the most prominent design work in the states. A Chicago native, Hausman began his professional career in the late 1980s. He studied photography at the New School University of New York and The Institute of Design in Chicago.
On a recent road trip to essay a Nantucket home for a leading Chicago designer, Hausman was taken in by the landscape and it’s painterly hues and light play. His latest works, aluminate, are a landscape series of views “along the way” printed on large scale brushed aluminum. Hausman’s years of experience creating fine prints are combined with the latest digital technology to create a new vision in photographic imaging.
