Curtis James Miller is a figurative artist concerned with the depiction of movement through static form. He works with a multitude of materials such as cast bronze, cast iron, concrete, wood, and steel to create sculptures of various scales—from small to X- large.
Miller is not only a talented fine-artist, but also a Combat Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, who completed 2 deployments in Iraq and graduated from the prestigious SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design - Atlanta). Miller translates themes of warrior culture into accessible works of art. He uses wings, feathers and classical imagery to fuse mythology with modern design.
Currently, he is working on a memorial sculpture commemorating the tragedies of 9/11. The sculpture will incorporate a piece of steel from one of the World Trade Center Towers in NYC.
